We're getting so excited about our Winter 2014 Mixed Media Art Retreat, that I thought I would share a few photo's of what we're up to with the preparations. On Sunday afternoon after lunch our family went for a little outing at the Moreleta Kloof Nature Reserve. We got ourselves a good spot under a canopy at the Rademeyers restaurant from where we could watch the zebra's grazing peacefully.
Ansu brought her watercolours along and it was just the right setting for the creative juices to start flowing. Then and there I began painting the flowers for one of the papers we're going to use for collaging our canvases at the MMA Retreat.
(The little girly was just a fun doodle while we waited for our hot drinks to arrive:) )
The result is this fresh and colourful paper design that guarantees to liven up the coldest of winter days. I spend all day yesterday designing the papers and can't wait to get them printed and to start using them in artworks and scrapbooking.
We decided to put together 4 colour schemes for participants of the retreat to choose from. Along with the Bouquet of Flowers paper, an accompanying Double Polka Dot as well as a Flourish paper was designed. I hope everyone who hasn't booked their places will do so after they have feasted their eyes on these cute and yummy sets...
